Every ten years, following the completion of the United States Federal Census, it is the responsibility of the County Board to work with the municipalities of Racine County to redraw district and ward lines in accordance with federal and state laws. As part of that process, it is appropriate to review County Board size and committee structure to ensure that the citizens continue to have effective and efficient representation in the political process.
The committee will have the following responsibilities:
- Review the size and effectiveness of the County Board.
- Work with Racine County municipalities to redraw ward lines in accordance with federal and state law.
- Propose revised districts for the County Board to ensure effective and efficient representation for all citizens.
- Propose any appropriate committee or structural revisions for better County Board operations.
