| The Racine County Sheriff's Department Dispatch
Center is responsible for communications between the public and the
department. Dispatchers perform a wide variety of tasks.
The
Dispatch Center handles the telephone requests for Law Enforcement and
Fire/Rescue services for a large area of the county. Not only do the
dispatchers answer requests for the services of the Sheriff's Department,
but they also handle the police dispatch for the following agencies:

The Dispatch Center acts as the communications
clearing house for the Sheriff's Departments operation. Constant telephone
calls for service, information requests, enormous volumes of paperwork, and
tremendous demands for instant service shows how the Dispatchers play an
