This position requires:
- US Citizen (Provide birth certificate or other proof of citizenship)
- High school diploma or GED
- Sixty (60) fully accredited college level credits, or an Associate/Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, college of technical school
- At least 21 years old at time of the written test
- Binocular vision: 20/20 corrected in each eye.
- Height/weight: in proportion
- Possess a valid driver’s license from the state of residence at time of application and obtain a valid class D Wisconsin driver’s license by time of appointment.
- Racine County residency at time of appointment.
- No felony conviction unless judgment or conviction has been reversed or a complete pardon granted.
Testing:
- Pass Physical Agility test
- Pass Written Examination
- Pass Oral Examination
- All candidates must also pass a background investigation, post job offer psychological and physical examinations and drug screen prior to starting employment.

Salary (2009 rates): Starting: $38,781 - Top step: $58,149.
Tests: Written examination: 5/8/10, physical agility test: 6/19/10, oral interview: 7/13/10.
